Get up early and find happiness

What do you do in the first 30 minutes after the alarm rings? I can assume that if you have an alarm clock in your phone, then you either set it to another 10 minutes and turn it off or immediately hang in the phone to wake up: look at social networks, mail, read the latest posts. Do you love your morning? I don’t think you even pay attention to it.

THE MORNING RITUAL IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE DAY. In order to love your morning, it is not at all necessary to get up at five in the morning and jump on the treadmill from bed. It is enough to create a daily routine that will give you pleasure and can charge you for the day. It doesn’t matter if you are a morning person or an owl, whether you eat breakfast or not, work in the office or from home. Your morning can make you successful and wealthy.

Here are a few things that can make your morning better:

Refusal from a smartphone

According to statistics, 78% of smartphone owners pick them up within 15 minutes after waking up. In order for your brain to function efficiently throughout the day, it needs to fire up and tune in. Watching someone else’s life and absorbing other people’s opinions does not contribute to this in any way. Try not to open social networks for the first half-hour after waking up. If it is difficult to control yourself, then just turn off the Internet at night and do not turn it on until the end of breakfast. Instead, think about what you need to do today and what the day will be – this will help you understand what exactly you want to achieve.

Wake up without rearranging the alarm clock

I think the Snooze button is the most popular in the alarm clock app. But I have bad news: another 5-10 minutes of sleep will not help you get enough sleep. On the contrary, a delayed climb will leave you even more tired and irritated. Getting upright after the alarm rings, if you keep stretching the ascent, will definitely not work. Try to put the alarm clock away from the bed for the first time, then you have to get up to turn it off. An important condition: in order to get up immediately, you have to go to bed not too late.

Meditation

Regular meditation lowers stress levels, boosts immunity, reduces chronic pain, heightens feelings of happiness, and improves concentration. You can start from five minutes in the morning. For example, try the basic practice from Meditation for Busy People :

When the timer beeps, gently open your eyes. Become aware of how you are feeling. Stretch, stand up, and stretch again. Pause for a second. Connect to your body, mind, senses. And get on with your day.

Keeping a diary

Diary entries in the morning help you tune in and plan your day. It is not necessary to write about experiences and describe any events of the past day. You can use the questions from the 6 Minutes diary: what are you grateful for, what will make your day wonderful, and what positive attitude will help you in this? These questions will help you to better understand your feelings, desires, set you up for a successful day that will bring you joy, not a disappointment.

Charging

A little warm-up in the morning will help your body wake up. You don’t have to jump on a treadmill or go for a half-hour run at dawn. A 10-minute warm-up, similar to the one you did in physical education, is enough. Stretch your neck, arms, bend, and stretch, stand in a plank. Experiment with morning activities and measure how you feel.
